This paper presents a time-domain technique to generate command inputs for the reduction of residual vibrations in mechanical systems. The technique is based on the generation of motion profiles with zero-crossing points in their frequency spectra at the system resonances in the same way as the zero-vibration (ZV) command generation methods.
