Resum
The present paper presents a passive acoustic method for aircraft tracking. The Acoustical Doppler Effect, characteristic of signals received by a mesh of spatially distributed microphones is the basis of the method. A one-dimensional version of the Ambiguity function permits the calculation of the frequency stretch factor that exists between the sound signals received by a pair of microphones.
