In Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry (GNSS-R), power waveforms or Delay-Doppler Maps (DDM) are incoherently averaged to reduce the standard deviation of the fluctuations caused by the speckle and thermal noise. This letter proposes a simple and innovative processing concept based on the computation of the variance of the complex waveforms.
