Resum
A new approach to synthesize 2D planar antenna arrays with sparseness characteristics is presented. This approach uses a recently introduced technique called Hybrid Sparse Linear Array Synthesis (HSLAS). In order to reduce the number of antenna elements, we propose to use the HSLAS jointly with the concept of Independent Compression Regions (ICR).
