This paper is concerned with the stability analysis of the Lorenz system in the framework of Kosambi-Cartan-Chern (KCC) theory. In this approach, one reformulates the flow of the given system as a geodesic flow in an associated Finsler manifold. This provides five geometrical invariants, and the definition of the Jacobi stability of the system takes into account one of these invariants (the curvature deviation tensor), providing a geometrical alternative to the use of Lyapunov exponents.
