Resum
The effect of lift forces on the heat transfer coefficient is analyzed. The analysis is performed within the framework of the Taylor-Helmholtz instabilities for the vapor-liquid interface in forced flow and it results in a heat transfer enhancement mechanism. An additional lift force propels the bubble away from the film preventing coalescence phenomena and vapor reab-sorption and gives rise to a significant enhancement of heat transfer.
