Resum
Zwitterionic polymers (ZP) recently emerged as biomaterials with excellent bio­ and haemo­ compatibility. The protein adsorption on their surfaces is lower even compared to the golden standard in the field – poly(ethylene glycol). Moreover, ZP are known to swell more in salt solutions than in pure water, which is known as the antipolyelectrolyte effect. Thus, the ZP combine antifouling properties with high ability to absorb wound exudate and at the same time maintain the moisture environment...
