Between 1945 and 1965 urban growth in Europe was unprecedently intense and mainly focussed on residential uses. More than the seventy percent of new-urbanized surface during that period took form of what we name as Modern Housing States (MHS), a specific urban form conceptually linked to the CIAM principles but far from being as successful as expected.
