Abstract
This paper focuses on the analysis of certain hypotheses considered in quantitative remote sensing of forest areas by means of Polarimetric SAR Interferometry (PolInSAR). When addressing the quantitative estimation of forest parameters in PolInSAR, the estimation is usually based on the inversion of the Random Volume over Ground (RVoG) coherent scattering model.
