Abstract
The Accessibility Windows Assembly Line Balancing Problem (AWALBP) arises in those assembly lines where, as opposed to traditional assembly lines, the dimensions of the workpieces are larger than the width of the workstations. This means that, at any cycle, a workstation cannot access to one whole workpiece, but only to a restricted portion of one or two consecutive workpieces [1].
