Resum
A ring-shaped Fricke device was developed to measure the absolute dose on the transverse bisector of a Ir192 high dose rate (HDR) source at 1cm from its center in water, D(r0,¿0). It consists of a polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) rod (axial axis) with a cylindrical cavity at its center to insert the Ir192radioactive source.
