Abstract
Permanent Magnet (PM) direct driven synchronous generators are becoming an interesting solution to implement in large wind turbines. They are simpler, have less maintenance costs, and offer increased efficiencies. The objective of this project is to analyse this alternative with different power electronics and improved control algorithms.
