In this paper, a geosynchronous synthetic aperture radar (SAR) (GEOSAR) mission for atmospheric phase screen (APS) retrieval using a long coherent integration of pulses is analyzed. The nearly fixed position of the geosynchronous platforms makes GEOSAR systems suitable for continuous monitoring applications.
