Abstract
Cucumis melo is an economically important crop. Different types of soil stresses hamper melon cultivation. Grafting melons onto resistant rootstocks can overcome this limitation. Different cucurbits such as Cucurbita, Lagenaria, Luffa, etc. have been successfully used to avoid soil stress in melon crops
