Abstract
In this paper, a novel procedure for the estimation of the energy decay curve of the reverberation on rectangular non-diffusive rooms is presented. It is based on the calculation of the expected sound intensity using a room characteristic factor, the specific attenuation factor, also introduced in the paper.
