Abstract
The Zipfian distribution is the particular case of Power Law distribution that has support the strictly positive integers. In this paper the Zipfian distribution is generalized by means of the Marshall-Olkin transformation. The new model is a two-parameter model with more flexibility to adjust the probabilities of the first positive integer numbers while keeping the tail probabilities nearly invariant.
