Abstract
We investigate the Accessibility Windows Assembly Line Balancing Problem (AWALBP), where, in sharp contrast to traditional assembly line problems, only a portion of the workpieces can be reached from each workstation. The literature distinguishes different variants of the problem, and several formulations and solution approaches have been proposed.
