Abstract
This work presents the development of a nonlinear state observer to estimate the values of the different gas species concentration profiles in a Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cell (PEMFC) energy system. The selection of the estimated states is based on the functionality and performance of the observer. The implementation is based on the discretization of a PEMFC distributed 1+1D model.
