Abstract
In this work, we implement and compare two compact finite difference (CFD) methods to solve the velocity-pressure system associated to acoustic motion on a rectangular medium. In the first method, spatial discretization proceeds on a nodal grid and leads to an implicit FD formulation to update the acoustic pressure on the whole domain.
