Abstract
To study the dynamic behavior of turbine runners (natural frequencies and mode shapes) not only the added mass effect of still water has to be considered. Also the effect of rotation may not be neglected in the dynamic response. In the present study, the dynamic behavior of a rotating disk submerged in water is studied.
