Abstract
We study scoring systems and combinations of them with the purpose to evaluate athletes' performance for artistic sports such as diving, synchronized swimming, figure skating, rhythmic gymnastics by taking into account the entire judge's scores but also the variability of these scores. The new method we propose based on scoring systems only depends of the number of judges and on the ordering of their evaluations, but not on other comparisons among them.
