Abstract
This work shows a technique to estimate the vegetation opacity and infer the vegetation water content using a single GPS receiver located under the vegetation layer being analyzed. It is based on the measurement of the received signal power when the GPS satellite is at the zenith, and when the GPS satellite is with an elevation of 30 degrees.
