Abstract
Collision between adjoining buildings is relevant, since the huge impact forces significantly modify the buildings dynamic behaviour. The separation required by the regulations avoids pounding; however, even in recent buildings, impact can occur due to not fulfilment of codes and seismicity underestimation.
