Abstract
Future network services are expected to deliver additional functionalities besides connectivity. The Network Function Virtualization (NFV) paradigm provides the foundation for such concept. We propose a reallocation-based provisioning mechanism to enrich service provisioning architectures in NFV-based transport optical networks, achieving up to three orders of magnitude reductions in experienced blocking. © 2018 IEEE.
