Abstract
It has been well known that embryonic tissues exhibit oscillations during their developmental process [1]. Mechanical oscillations are ubiquitous in physics, and are usually modelled resort- ing to hyperbolic Ordinary Differential Equations (ODE). In embryonic tissues though, inertial terms are negligible (frequency is of the order of 0.02 Hz), and so the ODEs turn into elliptic.
