Abstract
Climate Change is now an undisputed fact (IPCC, 2007). In turn, a broad consensus seem to exist on the role of cities regarding CC, occupying the Urban Heat Island (Oke, 1973) an especially relevant role. This scientific and technical consensus, however, does not seem to have influenced urban planning practice.
