Abstract
Current microprocessors are becoming more vulnerable to cosmic particle strikes and parameter variations. Particle strikes may cause soft (transient) errors, whereas high variability (due to process, temperature and voltage) may transform non-critical paths into critical paths, resulting in timing errors.
