Abstract
An analysis of the symmetries characterizing the micro-architecture topologies and the elastic material properties is performed. The goal is to elucidate a systematic procedure that facilitates the design of elastic metamaterial with a prescribed target elasticity tensor via inverse homogenization methodologies.
