Abstract
Ammonia is a non-environmentally friendly specie since it could cause eutrophication and reduce the water quality due to its accumulation (González-Martínez et al. 2016). Currently, wastewaters from desorption steps, such as zeolites regeneration as a tertiary treatment in wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), contain dissolved ammonia.
