Abstract
Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid state joining technology that gained vast popularity in naval, aerospace and automotive industries. Being a very advantageous type of welding due to high quality of resulting joints, FSW often suffers from defect formation due to an inappropriate choice of process parameters and welding condition.
