Abstract
A fixed-mesh method for the analysis of transient forming processes is presented. The mesh covers material regions and zones through which the material may flow. These last zones are identified by a pseudomaterial with relatively small physical parameters. During time processing, the interface between both materials is followed by an arbitrary Lagrangian mesh.
