Abstract
The mechanical behaviour of a microalloyed steel during the hot shaping process was followed by high temperature uniaxial compression tests for a large range of strain rates (10-4-3 s-1). To study the influence of the initial grain size on the mechanical behaviour of the steel studied, two series of tests were realized corresponding to two different austenitization conditions. A constitutive equation of the behaviour of the steel studied was determined for the stresses at the flow curve peak.
