Time-Dependent Origin-Destination (OD) matrices are a key input to Dynamic Traffic Models, microscopic and mesoscopic traffic simulators are relevant examples of such models, traditionally used to assist in the design and evaluation of Traffic Management and Information Systems (ATMS/ATIS).
